Abstract

The equivalence between the optimal state estimation and the optimal asymptotic cloning is well known. There are, however, more intriguing facts relating cloning with measurement and estimation theory. I will present a hypothesis, that the holevo bound on the accesible information of an ensemble tends to the accessible information itself once calculated on optimal clones obtained from the ensemble, achieving equality in the limit of infinte number of clones. I prove the hypothesis for universal 1->N cloning.
