Abstract
Classical and quantum dynamics for magnetic resonance force microscopy (MRFM) in the oscillating cantilever driven adiabatic reversal technique has been analyzed. Differently from the classical case the frequency shift of the cantilever
vibrations is independent on the initial angle between the directions of the effective field and the average spin.
Also, it causes the formation of a Schrodinger cat state which has some differences with the conventional MRFM technique.
